MAGHI

This film follows a Tharu family and their relations as they perform some of their traditional rituals in the morning of Magh Sankranti. Men and women in separate groups go to bathe in the nearby rivers as an act of purification and auspicious preparation for the festival. While bathing the men place coins between their toes and leave the money behind in the water.
